Here's a handy, dandy health product for people who recoil at the idea of grabbing hold of a dirty handle on a grocery store cart.
It's called the Healthy Handle, invented by Al Dandy of Dandy Enterprises. It's simply a reuseable sleeve that slips over the handle on a shopping cart.
According to a press release, Dandy claims that shopping carts are a major contributor to "a huge public health problem." Maybe. People do sneeze or cough into their hands, then go back to pushing a shopping cart. Young children drool, and teething babies bite on the handles, Dandy says. Then there are the other bodily fluids to worry about, he warns.
